About Us

patern

Sekala 369 is a tattoo studio based in Bali, founded by tattoo artist Ade Itameda in 2019.

The name Sekala comes from Balinese philosophy,
where life is understood through two interconnected realms: Sekala, the seen world, and Niskala, the unseen.
369 represents a continuous cycle of learning, making, and sharing.

Our work is inspired by the visual culture of Indonesia. We study the ornamentation, craftsmanship, and artistic traditions found throughout the archipelago, and explore how these ideas can be expressed through tattooing.

The studio is not only a place for tattooing, but also a place to research, draw, observe, and exchange ideas. This process helps us better understand Indonesian visual traditions while finding new ways to reinterpret them in a contemporary context.

For us, every tattoo is an opportunity to explore ideas, reinterpret tradition, and contribute to the ongoing evolution of Indonesian visual culture through contemporary tattooing.
